5.0 out of 5 stars Crawford is a pleasant surprise as comedic actor!, January 27, 1999

I was doubtful about this series, since its been compared to Harold Lloyd-type humor, which I am not a big fan of. But Michael Crawford comes through so convincingly that you really believe he is Frank Spencer! His sense of humor and comedic timing are comparable to any comedian anywhere. Watching him perform his own stunts as he bumbles from one misadventure to another is amazing! I am a new fan of Mr. Crawford, and I am glad I gave this series a chance!

This is the type of video that any member of the family may enjoy. Humor covered every kind of situation that any one of us has encountered at some time in our lives. Nice to be able to laugh at ourselves through Frank Spencer. Michael Crawford proves to be an all around type of actor. Wish we could see him perform in the movie version of Phantom of the Opera. END

5.0 out of 5 stars Michael isn't only the Phantom, he's a comedian!, March 25, 1998

You know Michael Crawford from his role as the Phantom of the Opera. Do you know him however as Frank Spencer? Here is a wonderful family comedy from the BBC that Michael did before his days as the Phantom. It will be a delightful surprise for you! END
