i wasn't expecting anything from this at all. i just wanted to watch something that had a little bit of suspense and scares in it. it had a bit more than that as the deaths were a bit much other folks might want to be wary of those. the story while nothing really special serves it's purpose. I can see why "Somebody.." was a DVD release and might be best watched via rent first. But check it out for yourself and then decide after that. Nothing spectacular or anything, but better than a lot of crap i've seen recently...also leaves it open for a sequel.

I would say its a good movie to rent not buy. Unless you buy at blockbuster for 4 DVD's for $20.00.

Thank goodness it was on tv and free vs. me buying it. I wouldn't recommend purchasing it. If you can see it on tv, do so just to see what I'm talking about. I like Marques & Omarion, but they should have chosen better scripts to showcase their acting abilities. The part that really kills me is that Marques' character is walking around with a police shot gun and doesn't use it on the killer. Hella STUPID movie!!!!!!

BET took a huge leap with this movie! One late night, during the time of Halloween, I stumbbled upon this movie. I didn't get the name, because I ws so into this movie! It reminds me of saw, and the acting was great! The cast is well known and the plot is really good. I love that this movie has african american actors in it, which I myself have been waiting for a long time! We need to break out more into the horror genre and BET did just that! It's a great movie, very scary and you can trust me, I know my horror movies! BUY IT!

Do NOT spend $22 on this movie. I got a second-hand copy for $5 and I wish I could return it. I really seriously wanted to like this movie but it's like the writer went out of his/her way to make me hate it. The charachters in this movie are some of the dumbest people ever, and you just hope that the killer would go ahead and find them, kill them, and put them out of MY misery.

This movie is complete garbage PLEAAASSSEEE do not spend $22 on this. The bad part is I'm actually watching the movie as I write this. Couldn't wait.

I have to admit, going into watching this movie, I had my reservations. I had previously read a lot of negative reviews on it, but I tend to not ever pay attention to them for movies.
I was pleasantly surprised with this film.
The movie is about ten early twenty's year olds who head out to a cabin in the middle of the woods to celebrate one of the girls' birthdays. One by one, they all begin to disappear, and it's up to the remaining friends to figure out what's going on before they're next.
First off, I found some of the dialogue to be hilarious, particularly Alexis Fields' lines. She basically just says everything everyone watching the movie is thinking and it made me like her character a lot.
Secondly, the suspense and mystery begins only about twenty minutes into the movie, so you're left for the last hour and 20 minutes waiting to find out what happens next, which I found to be pretty enjoyable. Since the movie is so long, it's not fast paced at all and everything is done in a very timely manner which you don't see too often in horror movies especially nowadays.
Also, the acting was actually pretty good, and I found myself following the characters and what was going on more so than laughing over the acting of them, which happens so much nowadays in horror movies.
If you're a hardcore gore hound, this movie isn't really for you. There's only about seven deaths, most of which are not gruesome at all. There are about two or three deaths that might be hurtful to the eye (one includes a character's ear being slowly cut off).

The only negative thing I have to comment on is the ending. It's basically left open for the viewer to come up with what exactly happened. You will have a few questions once the credits start rolling, but none that make you think the movie has been ruined.
All in all, it was a pretty good horror flick for what it was. If you're into mystery, suspense, horror and occasional gore, this is a movie for you. It's definitely worth checking out.

It was more realistic than a lot of the movies in this genre.
Both Omarion and Marques do a pretty good job acting as does the rest of the cast,especially for it's low budget.
It has some good gory kill scenes,a little bit of supernatural,I usually don't care for that in my slashers,but it works here.
It deals with REALITY as far as when the teens bring up the question(Will the white town people and sheriff believe us because we're Black)When wanting to report their friends missing and the fact that they think there's a killer on the loose.
They unfortunately are staying in a cabin too close for comfort to a disgruntled psycho maniac plastic surgeon wannabe who takes his captives and locks them in small dog like cages and then performs plastic surgery on them.. WELL lets say he doesn't have a very good bedside manner.
The 2 main characters played by Omarion and Marques do what a person SHOULD do when confronting a maniac.. not what stereotypical characters do.
I wont give anymore away..
I liked it very much and have watched it 3 times.

Cliche after cliche after cliche in Hollywood films is addressed. To be honest, I'm floored to actually see this movie here at amazon! I'm happy though, cause I get to bash it! Nothing at all was original...

*white girl is a "ghost" and helps Marques duck the doctor time after time "Duck. NOW!"
*guys (Marques and Omarion) get tricked into going to another's out of the way cabin, thinking the sheriff is there just cause there's a police car there
*Omarion picks up the phone and white powder comes out, that just so happens to knock him out (LMFAO!)
*Marques LEAVES his friend and eventually falls down running from the killer
*killer is actually a former doctor with a bad reputation of killing women *Y A W N*
*Marques' friends, including Omarion are locked up in cages and he *G U L P* FORGETS the keys
*Marques GOES BACK only to see that the killer, who he stabbed in the back once and LEFT THE KNIFE WITH HIM, has left the building
*Killer comes back and Marques gets knocked out

I'll let you watch the rest of this pathetic mess. It WAS intriguing until too many of the trite occurrences pop out one after another.

I watched this crappy movie on BET tonight BTW. It ended like an hour ago , Thank Goodness.

Don't even buy this movie USED at 10 dollars, plus. Get it for 4 bucks or less unless you're a big fan then go ahead and blow the money. At least most of the terrible actors and actresses look good!

I looked for this movie in a few stores and no one had heard of this movie. I was glad I could purchase it online. The movie is okay. It reminds me of Friday the 13th, a thrasher slasher type movie.

Somebody help me describes this film all around. I am big O fan, but I hated this movie. My husband and neighbors chose this movie for our weekly movie night and we all fell asleep halfway through. This film was low-budget, the acting was mediocre, and the plot was predictable. I wouldn't suggest anyone buy this film. See it for yourself and form your own opinion, but don't waste your money purchasing this movie.
