Even though I'm a teenager, I've loved this book since I first read it. It is an adorable and very funny retelling of The Three Little Bears, and, in my opinion, it's better than the original! It's a simple book for most kids to read, and they will be sure to enjoy it.

I read this book to my daughter's 2nd grade class. They loved it. I had to read it to them twice. They really got a kick out Baby Blair. And quite honestly, I loved it just as much. So, now I'm ordering it so I can add it to our family library and read it to my 15 month old. This will definitely become one of our favorite bedtime books.

A very entertaining, delightful version of Goldilocks.,

This book was a delightful treat to read. It's whimsical, and fun. The Three Blairs take the place of the Three Bears, and it's easy for a child to relate to the family. Somebody has a great name, for we all blame somebody for the mishaps in our homes. This is such a well written, perfectly illustrated book. I say Hurrah. I thouroughly enjoyed it, as did my two year old!

Over and over - PLEASE!,
By Denise L. Weinsteiger (Reading, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Somebody and the Three Blairs (Hardcover)
My kindergarten children absolutely love this story and the familiarity it suggests to Goldilocks. At the end of each reading, I am always asked to "read it again". Once I share this book, the librarian never gets to shelve it until the end of the year. And she has two copies!! The children circulate it among themselves each and every week! My son listened to the story three times in a row and still selects it weekly! Great gift or addition to a home library.

One of the most humor filled stories ever written.,

Young children will delight at the adventures of a bear who wanders into a house of people while they are out. Most children will easily see the connection to "Goldilocks and the Three Bears". A wonderful comparison story for teachers to use in the classroom during a fairytales unit.

What in the World? -- a review by Xander, age 9,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Somebody and the Three Blairs (Hardcover)
"Somebody" has gotten into the Blairs's house. When they get home they'll be surprised to find that the order their house is in is called "Complete Chaos." There's tons of mess, the baby's chair is broken, and there's a flood in the bathroom. Who is Somebody?
"Somebody's been eating my crunchies!" This book is a spoof of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears." What Somebody does is very humorous and not very realistic. The pictures are very cute, and so is what Baby Blair says, such as "Feeda ducks!" This is a funny book for kids age three to five.

Somebody & the Three Blairs,

This book is so funny to first graders that they make me read it to them over and over. They also love to read it to themselves. My paperback copy was so threadbare from use, that I had to order a hardbound copy for the children to enjoy.

A humorous re-telling of an old favorite,

This review is from: Somebody and the Three Blairs (Hardcover)
This is my daughters' (ages 4 and 5) favorite version of the 3 Bears story. They identify with the mischievousness of Baby Bear and laugh at the reactions of the human family each time we read the story.

A Bear Getaway,
By
This review is from: Somebody and the Three Blairs (Hardcover)
Here's a modern take on the traditional tale of the Three Bears. There's only one bear in this story, a cute cub named Somebody who invades what appears to be a two story brick colonial owned by the Blair family, Mother, Father, and Baby Blair. The bear samples thing in threes, food, chairs, closets, plumbing, and of course beds.
The best part of the book is the return of the Blairs who find their home in cyclonic chaos. Baby Blair is amused by each discovery and his comments are dead on. Kids like stories that don't follow the rules like this one that doesn't follow the tried and true Three Bears formula. A good oral reader, especially one who likes doing voices, could have lots of fun with this book. The little bear's name is Somebody, a recurring joke used by the writer. The device reminds me of the Odyssey in which Ulysses tells the Cyclops that his name is Nobody, a funny turn when the blinded Cyclops tells his buddies that Nobody has blinded him.

Somebody is a bear who pulls a Goldilocks, making a mess in the home of the three Blairs. Read the comments of Baby Blair in a funny voice and the kids to whom you're reading will giggle like maniacs. My three-year-old goddaughter loved it so much that she brought it to school and incited the rest of her class to laugh along with her.
