When our daughter was battling a brain tumor, I looked high and low for a book like this one. Another parent in a similar situation stumbled on to this book and recommended it. In the years afterwards I have continued to recommend it, and I've purchased and given away several copies to parents of dying children.
The viewpoint is evangelical Christian. The other reviews are accurate so far as they report features of the book.

This book was given to my family by a dear hospice nurse almost ten years ago when my young husband was in the very late stages of cancer. It became a favorite book for our four children, then ages 4,6,10 and 13, and for other visiting family members as we grappled with real life & death issues. As followers of Christ we had hope amidst the anguish; this book gave us some lovely analogies on what the process of dying and arriving in heaven might be like, what their dad and someday, each of us, had to look forward to. It helped the children and adults alike as we processed the feelings, the physical changes in my husband and contemplated our own mortality. I believe that this book was an excellent tool in helping my kids deal with this trajedy and understand that death for a Christian is NOT punishment. A fantastic celebration awaits all who love Jesus as he welcomes us home... where we will be more ALIVE than ever, forever! (I've given this book to many others going through pending or recent losses. They, too, found the book very encouraging and helpful.)

This is one of the very best children's books I have ever read. I highly recommend this book for anyone with kids. I have given it to all of my nieces and nephews along with a number of other kids. I cannot say enough about how good this book is. Larry Libby has an uncanny knack for gently and tenderly communicating to young children.

I bought this book because someone I knew just passed away and I wanted to learn more about where he was. This was a wonderful book and it made me feel a lot better. It answered most of my questions and comforted me to know that heaven is wonderful.A must for people who have questions about heaven and what it is like.

This is an excellent resource to answer children's most popular questions about Heaven. Each two-page spread features a large illustration, a question and an answer, sometimes explained through short stories. Most quote Scripture; almost all offer Biblical references to support the answers given.

The questions tackled in this book include:

* Where is Heaven?
* How do I get to Heaven?
* How long does it take to get to Heaven?
* Who lives in Heaven?
* How long will I be in Heaven?
* Will it always be light in Heaven?
* Will anyone meet me when I get to Heaven?
* Will there be other children in Heaven?
* Will I be an angel when I get to Heaven?
* Will I need money in Heaven?
* Will I ever be sad in Heaven?
* Will my grandpa still be old in Heaven?
* Will my pets go to Heaven?
* How can I know for sure that I'm going to Heaven?

This book answers almost every question kids have about Heaven! My favorite part: the author continually brings the focus back to the important facts. The Bible tells us so little about something so big; it would be easy to get lost in speculation. This book keeps the big issues as the big issues and doesn't get distracted by unknown details. Scripture and references are provided throughout the book.

This book was given to my children when their grandfather died rather suddenly. They were 7 and 4 years of age at the time. Reading the book together was a wonderful way to help them try and understand/visualize where their grandfather had gone. I recently ordered this book for my four-year-old niece who was having difficulty trying to grasp what heaven was and why she couldn't go there to see her grandfather after he died.
