5.0 out of 5 stars I love this song/video and the cover
I grew up on Britney. I loved her as a kid and then she became to sexy so my mom didnt like her. Now shes pregnant and this video was on mtv and I just fell in love with it. I liked the do somethin' video/song so I got the single and love that too. I reccommend this single to all of Britneys fans.
I like the original better, but all the remixes/insturmental versions...

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed! Can you say "Radio remix"?
My disappointment here does not lie with the material. This song is a beautiful ballad in tribute to Mrs. Spears baby to be - as of this writting. Like her 'In The Zone' ballad 'Everytime' this is a heart-felt and very personal song written by Spears herself.

Now, while there are bonus songs here which only appear on her DVD release, I bought this single...

5.0 out of 5 stars So proud to be a Britney fan!, August 24, 2005

(REAL NAME)
I have been a fan of Britney from day one. Ever since she released Baby One More Time seven years ago I have been hooked on her ever since. I collect all her cd singles and albums. Even the re-releases and promo cd's I buy.

After the Greatest Hits: My Prerogative release I didn't think we would have a single this quick and I was so excited to hear it. After I heard it I was so proud ot be a Britney fan.

The song is really sweet and emotional and you can tell Britney has put her all into it. Her voice sounds really good. This is easily her best ballad. I also like the fact that it is her real singing voice and not synthesised (i think i've spelt that right) etc just like the songs from her "Britney" era were.

All Britney fans should buy this single and help show their support. It's an amazing song from an amazing artist.

5.0 out of 5 stars Someday, she will understand......, August 28, 2005
A Kid's Review
This is without a doubt one of the most outstanding moments in Britney's career. She may not be working as much as she used to, but with this single she proves that she has real talent and can touch the hearts of millions of people around the world. Her voice is all natural and clear, and the songwriting is probably the best she's ever done. She wrote the song on her piano only two weeks before she discovered that she was pregnant. It can mean many different things to many different people. But one meaning you can not take away from the song, is where it was all inspired from in the first place.... ....the miricale of life.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Sweet Maternity Song, October 9, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Someday I will understand was written by Britney in tribute to her baby to be. In someways this reminds me of when Madonna was getting ready to be a mother and I was thinking that this would probally settle her down and that seemed to be the case when I heard Ray Of Light and her songs Little Star and Nothing Really Matters. Now in Britney's case she is starting motherhood much younger than her Material Girl hero whom she idolizes. Someday is a lovely ballad along the lines of her hit Everytime, although it is a song of celebration opposed to sadness.

The songs on this disc are the vocal, instrumental, Hi-Bias Signature Radio Remix and a 9 min+ remix by Leama and Moor. Hi-Bias' mix tends to stay on track with the original while the L&M version tends to ramble around for a while before getting into the song, however once it gets into the song it sounds pretty good. Perhaps some ballads should not be shoved out onto the dancefloor as their lyrical content may take away from the dance arrangement.

All in all I am pleased with Mrs. Spears' latest effort and maybe this will be a turning point in her music from being overly sex driven.

There is total of 5 songs:

*Someday (I will understand)
*Chaotic
*Mona Lisa
*Over to You Now
*Someday (Hi Bias Remix)
`Mona Lisa` and `Over To You Now` is exclusive Japan release for this CD.
Up tempo remix version of `Someday` is very good too.
Cover art (both front and back) and dics design is beautiful as well.

Someday (I Will Understand) is probably Britney's most touching song to date. Not only is it about the special relationship between a mother and her child but it's also about the miracle of life. Britney wrote the lyrics to the track before she actually found out she was pregnant. She also composed the music. This is, I think, Britney's first complete production. You'll love the song for sure!

5.0 out of 5 stars She's back... and she's still got it!!, December 6, 2005
This review is from: Someday Ep (Audio CD)
This strong release shows how Britney, like Madonna, will never fade. "Chaotic" and "Mona Lisa" are both super-strong songs. "Chaotic" sounds like something from her Zone album, and "Mona Lisa" sounds... wow, it's just a fantastic Britney song that sounds new :)

Though upbeat, "Over To You Now" just seems like filler to me (and on a single, I guess that's not a real great thing)... yet the remix of "Someday (I will understand)" makes up for it. I must admit the title track of this single I don't really care for much, and I just had to get "Mona Lisa" on CD after hearing an mp3 of it. Yet the remix of "Someday" makes it a more upbeat cut, rather than a ballad, which is a bonus!

This is an expensive release... whether it warrants a purchase will be up to you. If you consider yourself a Britney fan, and wish to have at least 2 incredibly strong new cuts, then hesitate no more. Hey, so far everyone here has given this CD five stars, that has to mean something ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars "Someday" is now, October 14, 2005
This review is from: Someday Ep (Audio CD)
Britney Spears has really done a great job of finally finding a song that actually flattered her voice. Also the song "Over to you now" is by far one of her best. It seems to me the record label has a hard time understanding what songs are good for an album and which are not, this song should be on an album. "Over to you now" has "single potential"
