The Only Song Off The New CD Worth Listening To..., August 18, 2001
This review is from: Someone to Call My Lover (Audio CD)
After hearing the sickeningly explicit "All For You," I lost all respect for Janet, but this was the one shining song from the entire CD. "All right maybe gonna find him today, gotta get someone to call my lover," it's the innocent 80's style pop that launched her career, with the same playful, but not explicit content of her earlier work. Enjoy!

Okay single for its value, November 25, 2001
This review is from: Someone to Call My Lover (Audio CD)
I gave this single 3 stars. I think that Janet and Virgin Records could have done better on the "CD's" part. They only put 2 songs which sound almost the same. Like on the imports, they should have included the club mixes or atleast make a maxi-single of this song which instead would have 5 or 6 songs instead of only 2. The song however is good. Like i said before though, the 2 songs sound almost the same so only if your a die hard Janet fan buy this otherwise buy the CD or import single. *Tracklisting 1) Single Edit - Basically the album version but the music break in the middle is cut off short (3 1/2 stars) 2) So So Def Remix - All that happens is the beat is sped up, more drums and JD raps a little (4 stars) Only for die hard fans who buy for her remixes

Great Single, August 16, 2001
This review is from: Someone to Call My Lover (Audio CD)
If you bought this and the single for the title track to Jackson's recent ALL FOR YOU album, then you now have what amounts to really the only two essential listening pleasures on an otherwise half-baked,undercooked project. Like the previous single, this one utitlizes a sample, this time of 'Ventura Highway', and the results are fabulous. It's definately different than anything Jackson's done before--it has a slinky little bass track feel to it, but is still accessible. Deserves to be a huge hit.
