Confused,
By OOSA Online Book Club "O.O.S.A. Gets It Read!" (World Wide Web, USA) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE)
This review is from: Someone To Love (Paperback)
"Someone To Love" starts off slowly in the beginning and towards the end, the story really picks up; it's paced and gets your adrenaline flowing.
Terry is a music producer that not only wants it all, but has it all - the wife, children and his chick on the side. He doesn't give Stephanie, his wife, the attention that she needs. And all she's ever really needed or wanted was a little TLC. Terry has been holding a grudge against his wife for eight years. While he really doesn't want her, he surely doesn't want anyone else to have her. Getting no respect at home, Stephanie tunes her attention in to Justin; he's attentive and listens. With Terry as his producer and friend, Justin is well aware of how Terry feels about Stephanie. Unfortunately for them, they allow their friendship to climb a different chart. And if that wasn't bad enough, Justin is also married. Torn, Stephanie really wants her family back. Her girls keep telling her she needs to leave Terry alone because he is not worthy of her love. She hasn't been to church in years and fears she isn't worthy. Or is she? The only way for Stephanie to make her house a home again is through the Lord. Reviewed by: Carmen 3.5

Wake Up Call,
By Gayle T. Stoute (Clifton, NJ USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Someone To Love (Paperback)
"Someone To Love" is mainstream fiction that starts at a simmer and escalates to a boiling point. The protagonist takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride in her quest for true love. The subordinate characters are like jigsaw pieces that fit into a puzzle. The different aspects within the story are believable. The love triangle, which develops, makes you wonder who will triumph. This is a working class story that grasps you in the heart. It's a wake up call for women.

Karoline Bethea-Jones is a welcomed addition to the world contemporary black female authors. Her debut novel "Someone to Love" is an absolute page turner! Though a work of fiction, the relationships of the characters are believable and well developed. She captures your attention and holds it. You will not want to put this book down!

Love Triangle,
By
This review is from: Someone To Love (Paperback)
Someone to Love is a story about Terry and Stephanie Collins who have been married for fifteen years. Terry has it all; wife, Stephanie, children, career in the music industry and the woman on the side.
As the saying goes, "If you don't someone else will." This is the case with Stephanie. Stephanie gets no respect at home so she turns her attention to Justin. A relationship, that rises to another level. There is only one problem with that; Justin is married. Terry has control issues and Stephanie has a secret. Will they be able to pull it all together before it all falls apart? Someone to Love started off slow but it did pick up the pace and turned into a well-developed book with characters that were believable. This is the first part of a trilogy and part two is called Fragile Heart. I will be adding it to my reading list.

A Book Club Must Read!,

This review is from: Someone To Love (Paperback)
"Someone To love" is a story about the marriage (and I use that term loosely)of Terry and Stephanie Collins. This relationship is full of disrespect, distrust, lies, betrayal, deception, Terry's need to control Stephanie, and Stephanie's inability to parent her children, all because of something in her past. This story has all the ingredients of a good novel, and the contents for a rousing book club discussion.
My book club decided to read this book after meeting the author at a book signing. She promised us a good novel and we was not disappointed. The only thing we ask is that when the sequel is done that we be notified immediately! Thank you Karoline for delivering on your promises...all of them!
