The past, the present and the future.,

Francis Ray has done it again! She has crafted another well written story, complete with strong characters, an engaging and entertaining storyline, and of course, sizzling passion! Whether it be a cold winter night, or a hot summer day, SOMEONE TO LOVE ME (which includes a bonus short story and a sneak peek at her next book) is sure to leave you with that warm, fuzzy feeling that only a great romance novel can provide. This is sure to be a favorite among romance readers, and one that I highly recommend.Reviewed by Renee Williams of The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers Complete review can be found on our website...

Formerly Titled "Fallen Angel",
By A Customer
This review is from: Someone to Love Me (Mass Market Paperback)
This is an excellent book, but I wanted to let others know in case they are unaware, that this was previously titled "Fallen Angel." It was released in early to mid 90s. I would recommend this book, but I wanted to warn others that they might be purchasing a book they already own.

This book was excellent. Ms Ray did a wonderful job with this one. All the characters were fun and interesting, especially Brad. One minute he's a nice guy and the next, he's ready to rip someone's head off. The way he and Michelle interact with each other is special, and when she slapped the "$%@*" out of him....priceless!! Some of the dialogue between the two was hilarious. Alex, his sister Cassie, Michelle's brother Nick, Stan and Clint need stories of their own...that would be a hoot as well. I also enjoyed the short story at the end of the book. You're simply FAB Ms. Ray.

Can't get enough of a good man,
By Lady K "Babygirl" (Savannah, Ga) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Someone to Love Me (Mass Market Paperback)
This book was excellent with a capital "E". Michelle Grant was heart broken nine years ago when she found out her boyfriend was using her to get close to her successful brother, then she meets a stranger that gives her hope. Now a successful realtor she comes face to face with the stranger that saved her life. The one difference is he's not the same caring man she meet on the beach that night nine years ago. Brad Jamison is hard as nails, a take no prisoners kind of business man. They begin a fairytale romance but soon trouble errupts. Can they fix the problems their faced with, or will they be doomed forever? A great book. I read it in one day. I'm sure anyone who buys this book will not be disappointed. This is my favorite book and has me believing in love again. Pick up a copy today.

Not one of Ray's best,
By Ms. 90 (Maryland) - See all my reviews

Ooooh, boy this was a hard one to read. I like, in varying degrees, other books that I've read by Ray, but this one was a stinker. I just could not find the spark. The pacing was slow and it seemed like it took forever for anything to happen. Brad and Michelle never did develop into characters that were worth caring about or cheering for. I did, however, like the short story at the end. That was a winner.

a pleasant read,
This review is from: Someone to Love Me (Mass Market Paperback)
It was a good book, I'll give it that. Strong characterization helped me get close to Michelle, albeit not quite to Brad, and that's generally how the book went. The Michelle side was quite developed and fulfilling, but with Brad, I felt something was lacking and his resolution wasn't quite as satisfying.
I was looking for this book to provide an African-American romance, and to be honest, I really didn't get the feeling that these characters were anything but White, or mixed, beyond the occassion mention of "black" and the picture on the front. That aside, the book delivered what it needed. Be wary though, the novel ends on page 266, but the book continues for almost a hundred pages. So don't hold back, expecting to get in it when the pages themselves dwindle down or else you'll be as surprized as I was when the story ended in spite of the sizeable chunk of pages that remained.

delightful contemporary romance,
This review is from: Someone to Love Me (Mass Market Paperback)
In San Francisco, Michelle Grant is heartbroken when the man she loves announces he is engaged to someone else. She makes a scene and he chases her onto the nearby beach. An "angel" rescues her from her former beau's assault. BJ gives her more than just passionate love, he provides her the belief she can make something of her self.Nine years later, Michelle is one of Dallas' leading commercial realtors. Her boss Alex Forbes assigns her to work with a new client, the CEO of Computron, Brad Jamison. When they meet, Michelle recognizes Brad as the angel who made everything possible for her. On the other hand, Brad not only fails to realize who she is but also treats Michelle with scorn as he heard rumors about her sleeping her way to the top. As they work in close proximity he falls in love with her, something she has felt for him for nine years, but he does not believe she trusts him plus he sees her as a clone of his mother, who he detests. Fans of relationship dramas will enjoy this delightful contemporary romance. The story line is crisp yet filled with angst. Especially fun to observe is when Brad is the focus of the plot whether he fails to relate with his mom, struggle with his feelings towards his beloved, or copes with Alex's spoiled scheming sorry of a sister. Blast from the past,
This review is from: Someone to Love Me (Mass Market Paperback)
Couldn't put this book down.... From the chance meeting when they first met from when he found out the truth it was a great read. At first I kept asking why she just didn't state where she knew him from but we all hide what we want to. He came off as such a jerk but trying to hide an unwarranted attraction can make anyone on edge. You could almost feel the sexual tension coming from both Brad and Michelle. It was as real as the book I held in my hand. Their witty come backs and constant one-upmanship made the heat that much more tangible. I was happy they got together and when things got rocky I silently cheered them on.I am an avid Francis ray reader as many of her books have simply brought me to tears. She creates characters with emotions so raw and so real they suck you in from page one. She is a master at writing romance for the true romantics.
