5.0 out of 5 stars Glad we bought it!, June 14, 2004
This review is from: Someone's Gotta Wanna Play (Audio CD)
My whole family loves this CD! It is upbeat, funny, charming and very singable. The songs relate to things that happen in children's (and families) lives and describe things that children are feeling. Some songs help us use our imaginations. It is not possible to listen to this CD without smiling. This was a purchase we are very glad we made.

As an educator I find that my young students reach for this CD first! It is a classroom favorite!

5.0 out of 5 stars My son is obsessed, August 10, 2005
This review is from: Someone's Gotta Wanna Play (Audio CD)
with this great CD. He's three years old, and can recite nearly every lyric. I think the real beauty of this album is that the words are totally intelligible to young children, and the concepts are ones that they can really relate to: cutting one's own hair, the thrill of riding a train, being lonely because no one's around to play, etc. Some of the more popular kids albums - many of which I love -- have sort of high-fallutin references that kids under age six simply don't get. If you have a young child (or an older one, for that matter), he or she will really get this album, and will probably beg you for it all the time. (This mom finds herself singing it in the shower, too!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Music for the kid in all of us!, July 18, 2005
This review is from: Someone's Gotta Wanna Play (Audio CD)
This CD is fantastic!!! My children's grandfather kept borrowing our car and we did not know why. Turns out.. he wanted to listen to Erin and Marci!!! For once someone has written music for "children" that adults can actually enjoy too! FANTASTIC!

This CD hasn't been removed from our disc changer for months because I am still getting daily requests. My daughter loves and even sings the songs when it's not on! Soooo much better than a lot of other annoying kids cd's.

5.0 out of 5 stars super kids' songs that their grown-ups will wanna play too, February 20, 2005
This review is from: Someone's Gotta Wanna Play (Audio CD)
My kids love this album and request it all the time. Quirky, fun lyrics and a nice variety of tune genres (50's, country, klezmer, rockabilly, etc...) performed by two really great and versatile singers. Parents will like it lots too--nothing overly cutsey or preachy. Our favorites are "My Tooth is Loose," "The Haircut Song," and "I'm Sick." Great stuff!
