5.0 out of 5 stars very cool!
Like Tom Morello? Then Buy this. It's actually a bit better than Audioslave (not that there is anything wrong with it). Happy listening! Just don't expect Rage when you buy it, but Tom is not "asleep" like he seems to be (to me) during some of the Audioslave songs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Stuff
Bought this one on a whim after reading some of the other reviews. Very pleased with it, although it's a little too funky at times for an old rocker like me. Definately would recommend it though.

5.0 out of 5 stars NOT RAGE BUT WORTH THE PRICE COMPLETELY, February 22, 2008
This is a great album! I would recommend to any fan of RATM or any pre-RATM era music collector. Rather than the Rapcore style of music that that RATM's Tom Morello became famous for playing in the 90's, Lock Up's Tom Morello took more influence from Funk and combines that with an Alternative/Punk sound to get Lock Up's Debut album and all 12 of it's songs. This is also a RARE collector's item. Although, I like Zack's band Inside Out better (because they're much louder, Hardcore band than Lock Up), however I still HIGHLY RECOMMEND "Something Bitchin this Way Comes"!

I also like the fact that in a few tracks ("Punch Drunk", "Can't Stop the Bleeding") you can hear Tom experimenting with the Toggle switch/Kill Switch effects, although those kind of effects are downplayed.

BUY THIS ALBUM TODAY!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Pump the ROCK!, March 4, 2003

This album really is pretty rockin'. I first saw them open for Zebra in Poughkeepsie, NY way back when. I talked to Tommy after their set. He was pretty amazing. I later heard some Rage and right away recognized the riffs and said that's the axe-man from Lockup. Check out "Punch Drunk" if you buy. If you like 80's rock/metal you will like this...I still do.

If you like(d)the Minutemen and/or the first two Van Halen records, buy this. If you didn't (or don't) like the Minutemen and the first two Van Halen records, forget what I said and buy it anyway.

2.0 out of 5 stars Whacked Grindcore superstar band, March 6, 2002
By
L.T.F. (San Deigo,CA USA) - See all my reviews
Ex-Cradle of Filth drummer and now current member of Dimmu Borgir, Nick Barker, along with bass player Shane Embury of Napalm Death have joined in an unholy allaince to create a grindcore/ death metal, sick, side project. A genuine force on the underground music scene, they're innovative and very talented, exspecially for a band that doesn't play together on a regular basis. Do not expect to find the next Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth darkwave sounding band. This is fast paced, in your face grind from two men who have been in the business for several years. Raw and brutillay unccompromising, it is a serious suprise for even the most extreme listener.
