Sandy Henry is the author of Carnegie, from Arcadia Publishing's "Images of America" series. Her rhyming picture book, A Child's Bedtime Companion, was released by Ambassador Books, Inc. in November 2005. She is currently working on a new romantic thriller, My Bonny Lies.
Her first mystery, set in her hometown of Pittsburgh, was Something Borrowed, Something Blue, published by Llumina Press, June 2004. Sandy has also been a contributor to the works of other writers, including Ben Costello's Gunsmoke: An American Institution and Changing Course, a collection of empowering works by bestselling author Yitta Halberstam (Small Miracles, Adams Media, Inc. 2004). The anthology includes essays and comments by such notables as Betty Rollin, Joyce Maynard, Oprah Winfrey and Susan Sarandon, among many others.
A marketing major in college, Sandy later received her paralegal certification from Penn State University. Her seven-year stint as a Legal Assistant in the areas of Civil and Criminal Litigation has served her well in crafting romantic thrillers. She has also worked in Telecommunications and Banking.
Sandy grew up in Carnegie, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She currently resides with her husband Bill in Pittsburgh.
