I found this to be a very entertaining book. I am an adult who loves to color. I had so much fun coloring in this book that I just purchased another one. This time I think I will take more time and even frame some of the pictures. I recommend this book to anyone.

Mary does it again! I bought this thinking that it would be a simple coloring book. It is so much more! The paper stock is quite thick, the images once colored (I recommend professional grade coloring pencils) are noteworthy of framing. This book stands up to travel, as the cover is very sturdy. Mary Engelbreit fans will not be disappointed!

I fell in love with this coloring book the first time I saw it. Every page is nicely & fully detailed. It's great for kids and also adults.

What a wonderful coloring book for the young and young atheart. The detail is wonderful. It helps pass many a "nothing todo right now moment"

Just tonight, my 6 1/2 year old daughter, who was filling in the cheerful line drawings of this coloring calendar, said to me, "I feel like a Buddhist monk working on a mandala when I color these pictures" (she had just been on a field trip to a museum where monks were working on gorgeous sand designs). I would highly recommend this calendar: my daughter and I have had a wonderful, meditative time, coloring the pictures (each of which has an insprirational message, not too hokey for a little kid) and looking back over the events of the year. It's a wonderful way to introduce simple journal writing to a child, getting them to think about what important things, large or small, have happened to them, and writing them into the calendar spaces. The stickers are an engaging addition to the activity. Mary Engelbreit's drawings are perfect for my daughter, but I find that I enjoy filling them in with her as well -- as I think any reformed doodler might. I can't quite imagine a boy getting as into the cute -- verging on cutesy -- drawings, but that's my only hesitation about it. The calendar has really been the occasion for some wonderful parent-child bonding time.

The book is an excellent gift, and easy to color. Fun for adults as well as children.

I don't understand the part that this book is recommended for children. The pages to color are pretty advanced, and probably meant for maybe 15-16 year olds and older. Someone who will take the time to concentrate, and stay in the little, detailed lines. Some of those "fried Eggs" can get pretty small. This is NOT a calendar. It is more of a "seasonal" book. There are themed pages. Some summer, and some with snow for winter. Leaves falling for fall. No dates, and stuff like that.

This coloring book is beautifully illustrated. It is not too overwhelming and the pictures are so interesting and joyful that they can be framed when completed. I am an adult and my entire family loves to color. We are always looking for a high quality paper/illustration coloring book and we have found it in Mary's book. Buy it and enjoy! GK

I am a grandmother and I love to color -- with my grandangels and just to pass quiet time. This color book was given to me as a gift and I love it. I am almost finished with it but will not complete one page -- I don't want to finish the book! I would love more of her color books.

Gorgeous, simply gorgeous. The book is everything the reviews rave and more. I am a little miffed Amazon bent mine in their packaging process..grumble, grumble...but overjoyed to see that the book itself is a great value considering the higher cost.
The print quality is superb, as is the heavy card stock of each page, rendering ease of marker use. The images are not printed back-2-back, instead each individual page, once colored, is perforated and can be easily removed for framing. The book also comes with a velcro snap closure, keeping the book securely closed and your pages intact while traveling. The artwork detailing appeals to both kids and adults...very folksy and whimsical.
Excellent choice and you can't go wrong with this one.
