raw subterranean stories about those we see but don't hear from,

these stories are rough in the best sense, the work of a writer trying to speak for the low-down, the oppressed, the poor, the crazed, those who haunt american cities everywhere. what they lack in a polished style is made up for by their sincerity. this ain't chick lit. bukowski would have dug this kid.
