5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible artwork!!, December 16, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: Something in My Eye (Paperback)
Michael Whelan's Art is incredible, and this book is simply beautiful. If you're wondering where you've seen this guy's artwork before, he did the cover of the paperback for Tanith Lee's Red as Blood which is in this book, as well as other art you may recognize. Fantastic

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just a book..., March 30, 2009

This book is a collection of prints by Michael Whelan that have printed borders and they are perforated so that you can frame and hang them.

My favorite work in this collection is Cold Cuts. I used to have it hanging on my bedroom door when I was a kid. All of the artwork is interesting and macabre.

Stephen King's Dark Tower fans might recognize the name of this artist, as he did the artwork for that series in a limited print.

This book is definitely worth a look (remember it is more of a collection of prints--there really is not much bio information, but there is some). The artwork ranges from tounge-in-cheek, to dark, to fantasy/Sci-fi.

I lost the copy that I had picked up years ago and I had to buy another one. I'm glad Amazon.com has this for sale.
