They were determined to amount to something – in George’s words “we just had this amazing inner… Read more in Amazon's The Beatles Store

John Lennon remains the dominant force as their musical sophistication continues to grow. He injects an effervescent vocal on the remake of Larry Williams' direct blues "Slow Down". Ringo finds his voice in his rockabilly interpretation of the Carl Perkins classic "Matchbox". The musical complexities of "John's "If I Fell" and Paul's "Things We Said Today" could put a scare into Burt Bacharach. But the three greatest attention grabbers are all John. "I'll Cry Instead" exposes his inner struggles for the first time with another complex but accessible melody. And on his two most undeniably catchy tunes, "Anytime At All" and "Tell Me Why", he displays his compassion and paranoia respectively. Lastly, "Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand" has that aura of mystery. Was this the idea of a Beatle, George Martin, Brian Epstein or an executive at the record company? This is one of life's rich pleasures in which I may never know. You decide.

Exactly what I expected April 25, 2011
Format:Vinyl|Amazon Verified Purchase
Something New was one of the Beatle Albums that I did not have. The album arrived in great condition. The cover had very minor shelf wear and the vinyl was in great condition. This is exactly how the seller described it.
