Editorial Reviews

Michael Koretzky - Asst. Editor / Jazziz Magazine (2004)

Bob Hoose And His Orchestra recorded this album live! No overdubs. No studio tricks. Just music!

Product Description

Bob Hoose And His Orchestra: "Something Old, Something New" - Their first studio effort shines! 18 wonderful Big Band tracks are complimented by 7 original arrangements written exclusively for the orchestra, 3 of which are original compositions! A great mixture of 'swing' numbers along with some choice 'ballads'! This orchestra cooks like the Count Basie Orchestra!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Big Bands at their Best, March 30, 2007

This review is from: Something Old, Something New (Audio CD)
After to listening to 'Something Old, Something New', I was left with the desire to see this band live. The fact they recorded it the 'old fashioned' way just showcases the talent. The fact Bob sang with the band is remarkable. A fine piece of work by seasoned professionals.
