I love both of these authors. Let's just get this out there first. I'll read anything they print.

It's really cool that each took a character from one of their books and threw them together in this one. And the resulting mixture is HOT HOT HOT!

Steph obviously has relationship issues, to put it mildly. Pace is a player, plain and simple. Together they're sex on a stick. It's not your usual erotic romance, though; this is no everyday relationship. They're together for a night here and there, nothing on-going for them, but there's enough there to keep pulling them back together.

I hope that Andrea Randall and Michelle Pace will continue their story. I can't wait to see if Steph and Pace ever get together and stay that way.

Also, at my age I need more books like this. Last night while reading Something's Come Up, well, something came up. Twice :D

I didn't realize these were characters from other stories. I wish I had known that prior to reading this but overall it wasn't a bad little novella.

I loved Something's Come Up. Something's Come Up is written by Andrea Randall (author of The November Blue series) and Michelle Pace (author of The Sound Wave series). I have not read the authors series. I didn't realize to after when I was reading reviews that s Pace, a character from Andrea Randall’s November Blue series, and Steph, a characters from Michelle Pace’s The Sound Wave Series. I was not lost reading this novella. You don't need to have read the author's series to read this one.

I loved Pace and Steph. There characters are well written. We get flashback so we can see how their relationship was formed. I definitely want to read more about Pace and Steph. I loved the story but I was hoping for a different ending. I'm definitely going to check out Andrea Randall’s November Blue series, and Michelle Pace’s The Sound Wave Series

~ Giving a rat’s *** caused me issue after irritating issue for a lot of my childhood. So after my mom died, I quit caring. Gave it up for Lent and never looked back. ~

Once I heard that this book was in the works I could NOT WAIT to experience the melding of minds that is Michelle Pace and Andrea Randall. Through various book groups, I have come to know both the ladies over the past year. Let me tell you; they are some kick-ass chicks! Snarky, funny, honest to a fault, and simply put, AWESOME. I am familiar with both of their writing styles as I have read all their books, some more than once. Both authors have collaborated with other authors previously, and I was curious to see the outcome of their epic merging. Sufficed to say, Something’s Come Up far surpassed anything I could have imagined.

~ Good old Pace. Six feet and four inches of ripped, ebony sex god. Tasty, tattooed, and oozing testosterone. ~

I am not even going to lie. There is very little romance in this book. What is there then you ask? TONS of sexy, fun banter and plenty of panty-dripping excursions. Randall and Pace have a fluidity of writing that puts you in the story. There are many points in the book where I found myself needing a fan and a cold shower. Sexually descriptive, yet not vulgar, Something’s Come Up give you erotica with an actual story. The sexiness aside, what I really loved about this book was the repartee between Steph and Pace. They both give as well as they take, and boy do they ever give! I found myself smiling throughout the entire book and even laughing out loud at some parts.

~ “Cat got your tongue, Cary?”
“Interesting choice of words, given what I’m about to do to you.

Not sure if you are planning to follow this up with any other book, but I sure hope so. I would have started reading it right away if I had known if one was coming next. A good hot and steamy read, and perfect if you have already read the other storied from Andrea.

She is a wonderful author and I would recommend her books to everyone I know. Just wish that I could have the rest of the story right now!

Andrea Randall, author of the November Blue series, and Michelle Pace, author of the Sound Wave series, join their universes in the riveting contemporary romance Something’s Come Up.

After catching her boyfriend cheating, Stephanie Brier takes a spontaneous road trip to see her former lover, Pace Turner. Stephanie is a snarky and sassy leading lady that I just loved. She is straightforward and can dish it as well as take it. Pace is a hot, sexy, seriously confident man of color who is completely intrigued by Stephanie. Their sexual chemistry is explosive, and their bedroom play will scorch your e-reader. Sex isn’t their problem, being in a real relationship is. An interesting aspect of this story is how it moves between the present hookup and the past. By alternating between these two times, the book provides the reader with an interesting perspective on our two lead characters. Stephanie and Pace are an intriguing couple, and although I’m a bit disappointed with the ending, it was a alluring and irresistible read.

Even though I have not read any of the November Blue series or the Sound Wave series, I found this book could be read as a stand-alone. I really enjoyed the crisp writing of Andrea Randall and Michelle Pace, so I’ll definitely be looking to read more from these two authors in the future.

Something’s Come Up is a sizzling hot love story with strong characters that is deliciously seductive read.

I received an eBook copy of the book for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility.
