Sam had only been passing through Charity City, Texas when he defended a waitress from a handsie patron, only to end up in jail on assault charges. Now he's up for bid at the charity auction as part of his community service. Jamie's upset with her parents for buying Sam. Sam's a retired LAPD detective, and her parents have hired him to be her body guard and to find out who's stalking her. Sam knows he's been railroaded into doing this, but there's something about Jamie that's irresistible.

This is a nice sweet romance. I had it read in a matter of hours. The auther did a good job at keeping your interest. If you like silhouette romances, then this should be one to add to your collection.
