5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book May 26, 2011

This is a terrific book. Thought since it was all short stories I could read a little at a time but ended up zooming through it, totally hooked after the first story. Now I wish I had more. I don't know anyone who wouldn't be able to relate to the stories. All a little different.

Six individual stories each with their own inpirational message. The stories are ones we can all realte to on some level. They are so well written that they warm your heart, tug at your heart strings, bring a tear to your eyes and make you smile. They leave you with every emotion touched and lots to think about. Enjoyed them and recommend them to everyone, whether a dog fancier or not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blogger Unleashed!!! May 31, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I have been following Lisa Begin-Kruysman's blog journey "National Dog Week", always finding her posts to be heartfelt and unpretentious. Based on the over one-hundred blogs, Lisa has created fictionalized short stories with a title inspired by St. Anthony, patron saint of lost travelers. I was immediately drawn in by the photo on the cover. The beach scene with the pair of dogs waiting for us, leading us towards the light at the end of the watery path in the center, speaks volumes!

An engaging writer, who writes about what she loves and knows well, Lisa ups the anty here in her poetic and symbolic use of language. Centered around the experience of finding oneself at a loss as we live our lives, these six "tails" explore meaning and insight that can be gleaned from sharing the company of our loyal canine friends.
This is a lovely, cozy and light read. Lisa has turned her experience and passion of a life lived around dogs, into sweet comforting pieces.
I look forward to this being the first in a series!

Many many times. My wife is a great supporter of St Anthony, and has helped strangers and family members to learn of his kindness.
