I'm not that impressed with this season. It starts out on a bad note, gradually hooks you in but then ends on a cliffhanger. Unlike the original HP this show, reveals the weaknesses of this business first before letting you know the personalities of the staff. This leaves you with low faith in the staff immediatly. Also this season borrows many faults from HP season 8, the blowups aren't that funny, the staff doesn't get the best personalities, the story arcs weren't that good and were mostly episodic (but there were a couple winners) and there wasn't a fun feel present for much of the season.Ggiven the shop size, it becomes a lot more obvious when some deals are prearanged (a fault the original show has but it's harder to find, it took me till season 6 to find it). Also the cliffhanger was obviosuly done just for the show given how the stars talk on their soical media pages.

And that is where things get interesting, the social pages show these people seem to have tons of great times together, suggesting that the show intentionally shows Wyane and Randy always arguing. Now you can argue that for Seth and Ashley, but that generally is more interesting and I can actually see their rivialry happening (I've got a brother and we were like that when we were younger). So it's strange that the show wants to intentionally throw us off, even though I do think it's natural for arguments to happen.

So ultimatly I did enjoy some of it (mostly due to seeing the real HP) but this was poorly executed. If they make another season though, I'd give it a shot. I'm going to keep watching HP even after that bad season 8.

Why would anyone go to there shop? After the first episode, showing there shop in disarry and UN-orginized. No computer? post it notes everywhere? buckets full of peoples jewelry, really? That place is a joke and the people who run are clueless. The only thing that keeps it from getting a F,is the daughter holds what parts of the show together that she can by not being just cute, but smart.A joke of a show and of a business. The Chicago way eh?

Hardcore Pawn Chicago better with less Jerry Springer type fighting, however you may want to wait until the price goes to 1.99 per episode.

This is a terrible show. If you want to watch a great "Pawn" Show you need to watch Pawn Stars.
