A childs view of the 60s, a womans reaction to 9/11, and more general musings about life, grief and the changes we all face fill this book with a contemplative journey through a maze of life experiences.

Wonderful book!,
By Donna McFadden (Garland, TX United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Somewhere on the Edge of Words (Paperback)
D. M. Kraft's novel, "Somewhere on the Edge of Words" is a brilliant collection of poetry based on the search for self. The work is divided into eight sections so the reader can easily follow along with the search. The section on the 9-11 terrorist attacks is particularly stirring. Each poem continues on with the theme of the novel, yet brings a new richness to the overall tone. The last poem, "Awakening" is a wonderful end to the book. The poem highlights the meaning of the search and provides a life-affirming and hopeful glance toward the future. Kraft takes the art of poetry to a whole new level. Her poems are imaginative, deep, meaningful, and gripping. This book is a must read for everyone, especially those who love the art of poetry. I cannot wait to see what Kraft turns out next. Donna M.
