Don't Read His Review,
By CHAZYchaz11 (MI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Somewhere I Belong (Audio CD)
DON'T READ ANY REVIEW THAT SAYS: "A Kid's Review". He doesn't know anything about Linkin Park. He thinks that Linkin Park is the "frontman's" name, as well as a band name. When in reality, Linkin Park (not Lincoln Park) is a name the band stuck w/ after being lost and circling around a sign saying "Welcome to Lincoln Park" a million times. I'm not sure what state this was in though. So there's no "Mr. Park". haha. The TWO frontmen are named Chester Bennington (singer) and Mike Shinoda (rapper).
Also...Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, and Meteora are NOT CD singles, they're 3/4 of the main CDs that Linkin Park has made. The 4th one is Live In Texas. "Somewhere I Belong" is a song ON the CD Meteora. The reason this CD only has 3 tracks is because it's a single. So please, PLEASE tell everyone to watch out for "A Kid's Review"...I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea about Linkin Park and what an awesomely kick ass band they really are.

One of LP's better imports,
By A. Estes (Maine) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Somewhere I Belong (Audio CD)
Linkin Park release CD-singles for just about every single song that gets played on the radio more than once, and often, they aren't that special (recycling b-sides/live tracks that already appeared on other singles) but with the first single from 2003's 'Meteora', "Somewhere I Belong," Linkin Park deliver the goods. But first off, let me start with the disappointment: There is no bonus video of any sort. One of the best features of these singles is that they usually include a music video for the title song -- and seeing how this song and the video got played so much, you would think they would include it. The track is backed with two live performances of "Step Up" and "My December" taken from LP's own Projekt Revolution '02 tour. "Step Up" is sort of a throwaway song -- live version or studio version -- it's just not that special (although it is quite rare that you can find a live version). However, a moving performance of "My December" (one of those extremely underrated little gems) makes it all worth it. The studio version can be found on the "One Step Closer" single (and on the "In The End" EP single) and it is definitely a highlight of LP's career. So if you are a fan of the band and want something to beef up your collection a bit, this single should do a fair job.
