I had the pleasure of attending high school with Jasmine, so I must preface this review with that and the fact that I am a little biased towards her; however, her musicality has grown tremendously in the last... um.. 12 years (yikes!). I am touched by the lyrics and the range in these five songs, and my biggest complaint really is there are only five songs here!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Beautiful Person, March 4, 2009
This review is from: Somewhere In Between (MP3 Download)
When Jasmine moved in to the condo next door, I liked her right away. We had some good times and I loved to hear her and Matt write songs. She is a truly beautiful person inside and out. Creative and fun. I am blessed to know her. I do hope she records "Shine" soon...It's my favorite! Love and miss you Jazz!

5.0 out of 5 stars Smooth Jasmine, January 28, 2009
This review is from: Somewhere In Between (MP3 Download)
The taut poetic imagery of "Somewhere In Between" reaches the listener via musical choices meant to appeal to the young, the old, and those, well, somewhere in between... Her varying and engaging tempos and styles support the warm romantic ambience of the European cafe (Ne Jouez Pas Avec Mon Coeur), the teasingly innocent questionings and drive of young love (Fool To Fall) , a sharp rebuke against justifying violence (Love Is The One Thing), and spiritual recovery from emotional betrayal (The Book).

Jasmine Commerce displays a deep and informed musicianship, yet she is new and fresh. She is good. Really, really good. Her five song debut ep is a must-listen. I eagerly await her first full-length album!
