Reckless Tribute To A Musical Hero,

Reckless Kelly remains impossible to sterotype. They can rock your socks off or break your heart. Somewhere In Time is a tribute to their musical hero and mentor, Pinto Bennett of the Famous Motel Cowboys. The Reckless boys nailed this one. They show that they can play honky tonkin cowboy bar music with the best of them. Great session work from their friends. This CD showcases their talent and versitility. Well done boys!

Wow. Reckless Kelly did it this time ... they made a truly great album. This is what they call a "concept album," I guess. All the songs on it are written by an obscure Idaho cowboy/poet named Pinto Bennett. In this, no doubt, it follows in the tradition of Waylon Jenning's classic Honky Tonk Heroes, which consisted entirely of songs by Billy Joe Shaver. Really, check it out. The song-writing is amazing. The music great. Reckless was just the mature, western, country-rock band to pull this one off.

Reckless Kelly continues to churn out fantastic music. Somewhere in Time is an instant favorite that stands strong with every other one of their albums. If you are new to alt-country, any Reckless Kelly album is a nice starting spot with a solid blend of rock and no shortage of pedal steel.
