Very good book,
This review is from: Somewhere, My Love (Futuristic Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I read _The Sword of Macleod_ first and remember Tristan, the hero in this one, being vaguely mentioned. I wish I'd known more about him in the first book; he's great! If you like futuristics, this one is wonderful. :) Sweet, hot, and fantastic, I'd recommend this book to anyone who enjoys futuristics. :-)Sarah Pearson

Sha'Nara has been having mysterious, seductive dreams. However, she does not want a man in her life, despite the compelling dreams. She has "her career, her goals, and her father's expectations to keep her busy." The day she was kidnapped should have been the longest, most boring day of her life. The assignment was to accompany the Director's General's daughter Jera to her wedding on another planet. By the time the women realized they had been kidnapped, they were far from their original destination. Karen Fox weaves a fascinating tale of complexity and originality in SOMEWHERE MY LOVE. Although billed as a futuristic romance, it is considerably more than the typical genre romance. Fox brings an intriguing science fiction background to the tale, creating a powerful backdrop for the fast paced plot. Further characters are all vividly portrayed, drawing the reader deeply into the story. Very highly recommended.

I read a few good reviews and decided to give this book a try, I wish I hadn't. The plot is extremely weak and the heroine has to be the most unlikable I have ever come across. She is not only bigoted but betrays the hero numerous times throughout the novel. I couldn't for the life of me see what he saw in her let alone why he stupidly trusted her time and time again. Supposedly there is an instant attraction between them and she has been dreaming about him for years..ok..but other than that I found no redeeming qualities about her that would cause her hero to be so enamored with her. By the end of the book I could no longer make myself care whether they ended up together or not. I think Triston's character showed way too much patience with her and deserved much better. Save your money there is so much better out there. For good sci-fi, paranormal, or time travel romance try Dara Joy (Knight of a Trillion Stars, Rejar, Mine to Take), Christine Feehan (anything in her "Dark" series) or Johanna Lindsey (Warrior's Woman or Until Forever) instead. This one is a wall banger.
