Book Description

Timetwist (Silhouette) February 1, 2003
Long ago and far away.

Air force pilot Aurora Durant was lucky to be alive. It hadn't been easy to bring her jet down in the bizarre windstorm, but the savvy captain had managed. Now she had to figure out where she'd landed -- and when.

Lucius Antonius, senior centurion of the Roman Empire, couldn't believe his incredible fortune. A beautiful woman had literally dropped out of the sky. But before Lucius could claim the willful, impertinent creature, he had to tame her.

Soon Aurora discovered the true test of her spirit wasn't learning to live in a time two thousand years in the past, but resisting the powerful allure of an ancient warrior. Her agenda could only be returning to her own time, and falling for Lucius could make that mission impossible to accomplish.

Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

During a routine mission over the Middle East, Captain Aurora Durant of the U.S. Air Force crash-lands in the desert-and ends up an unwilling captive of Lucius Antonius, a senior centurion in the Roman Army, somewhere around 180 A.D. This somewhat unusual setting provides a wonderful opportunity for culture clashes, and the independent, assertive, very 20th-century heroine and the autocratic, alpha-male hero are more than willing to oblige. Lovelace (Sweet Song of Love, Harlequin, 1994) handles nicely a rarely used time period for romances.

As an AF brat I lived in France and Newfoundland, both of which I loved, and at least half of the fifty states. As an AF officer, I served tours in Taiwan, Vietnam, the Pentagon, and the rest of the fifty states!

Now I'm having a blast putting all those adventures into my books.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hmm, February 28, 2007
This review is from: Somewhere in Time (Timetwist) (Mass Market Paperback)
I was really looking forward to seeing how the author wrote this novel as it has a great premise, but the way in which the author wrote it is sadly lacking. I came away thinking that "this isn't how a Roman general would react" several times through out the book. The author needed to do more research.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious Time Travel Bodice Ripper, November 9, 2003
By
This review is from: Somewhere in Time (Timetwist) (Mass Market Paperback)
Another delicious time travelling bodice ripper as Captain Aurora Durant of the US Air force is swept back in time, into the arms of a hunky Roman Centurion Lucius Antonius.

Sparks fly as Aurora and Lucius clash, mainly over the status of women in Roman society and Lucius's inability in the beginning to accept that this divine young woman is actually from a future in which women are as much warriors as men.

But Aurora finds herself falling in love with Lucius despite her misgivings and he with her and this sexy yet charming story contains daring rescues, love among the dunes and a sparkling if predicable time travel plot.

This book has all the ingredients you want for a great holiday read, handsome hunk with rippling muscles, delicious but modern sexy young woman defying the boundaries of time to be with each other. Be prepared for a steamy, quality read.
SCRUMPTIOUS!

This was one of those books that you see at the grocers with the magazines...and thank god i picked it up to give it a try...well worth it!...very romantic with just enough 'extra' to make things interesting without becoming a smut. ^.^ Highly recommend!
