This is a pleasant surprise. Stampley drops the "good old boy" act and goes back to his r&b country roots. The results are uniformly good. He sings better and with more feeling here than he did on a lot of his hit records from 25 years ago.
Stampley had to be a big influence on T. Graham Brown and Travis Tritt. |
