About the Author

James Scudder is a popular author and Bible teacher. He is the host of the national television and radio broadcast, Victory In Grace as well as the publisher of the monthly magazine, Victory In Grace. Dr. Scudder’s latest books include Beyond Failure and Your Secret to Spiritual Success.

For thirty years, Dr. James A. Scudder has served as the pastor of Quentin Road Bible Baptist Church, one of the largest evangelical congregations in the Chicago suburbs. During this time, he also founded the nation’s largest Christian preschool and Dayspring Bible College, a four-year ministry training institute.

James Scudder has led the U.S. House and Senate in prayer and has hosted events for luminaries such as House Speaker, Dennis Hastert and Congressman J.C. Watts and Congressman, Phil Crane.

Dr. Scudder is known for his clear and understandable Bible teaching and his keen knowledge of current events as they relate to the believer. His down-to-earth style both in print and in his preaching have made him a popular favorite among Christians around the world.

In his book "Son of Satan: The Coming Economic Prosperity," James Scudder outlines the biblical foundations for belief in a series of specific events preceeding the return of Jesus Christ -- with a coming economic prosperity and the ascension to power of a man more widely known as the Antichrist. Each of the author's twelve chapters begins with a one to two-page fictional scene that leads the reader into the chapter's theme. These fictional forays add clarity to Scudder's vision and better illustrate the concepts he expounds upon. I've read a wide array of biblical end-times non-fiction books -- Hal Lindsey, Grant Jeffrey, Tim LaHaye, etc. James Scudder's book belongs on the shelf beside them.

Written by a Bible Teacher and host of "Victory in Grace", and international radio and TV broadcast featuring verse-by-verse exposition of the Scriptures, Son Of Satan: The Coming Economic Prosperity is a chilling portrait of how the Antichrist may well manifest in the modern day and age. A devout, fiery warning written with the unbridled passion of fundamentalist Christian faith, Son Of Satan is vocal and stringent in its denounciation of viewing prosperity as more important than God, or placing too much faith in too many different religions. Sharply worded, conveying a real sense of fear and dire warning, Son Of Satan is a severe account that reflects an underlying, all-encompassing feeling of a world that has far too much wickedness in it and is in great need.
