Finally We Both Sleep All Night Long!,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've complained about my husband's snoring for years. It's legendary among our family, and a few of our neighbors, too. (Yes, he snores THAT loudly, and when the windows are open in the warmer months he takes quite a ribbing from the folks next door for keeping them awake at night, too.)We've tried everything to stop the snoring: those nasty sprays, the nasal strips, even ping-pong balls sewn into the back of his pajama top. (He just shucked the top off and kept snoring away.) Since he'd adamantly refused to get a CPAP mask, I'd about reached the point where we were going to have separate bedrooms. Honestly, I hate the thought of that. How would I warm up my cold toes in winter if he wasn't there in bed next to me so I could stick them on his back? And don't get me started on the other parts of our life that separate bedrooms would detrimentally affect. I'd heard about this pillow on a local news program that does consumer reviews of products. The woman who'd bought it for HER husband said it worked like a charm, but after hearing the price I remained skeptical. A year later, though, I couldn't handle the snoring any more. This pillow was, I decided, our last effort before getting those separate bedrooms. The first night it arrived we both stood looking at the shape of it and wondering whether he'd actually use it. To be honest, it doesn't look comfortable at all. But, as the manufacturer states, there is a learning curve involved in using the thing: we figured that meant reaching a point where he was so exhausted that he'd sleep on the pillow regardless of its comfort. We needn't have worried. From the very first night this thing has stopped his snoring. He's both a side- and stomach-sleeper, so the upside down U-shaped conformed well to his sleeping position. Like the man in the picture, he just tucks his arm underneath and snoozes away. The U keeps the front half of his face pointed more toward the mattress than the back of his head, which means his tongue isn't rattling against the soft tissues in the back of his throat. (That's what causes snoring.) I love, love, love this thing. I love being able to sleep throughout the night without having to elbow him anymore. He loves waking up well-rested and bruise-free. We both agree this pillow is worth every penny. It's the stuff of good dreams for all, all night long.

Really Does Stop 99% of My Snoring,
By Wolfpacker "Curtis" (Memphis, TN) - See all my reviews It works. Two caveats: 1) It does take a week or so to break it in. During this time it will be too fat and firm causing neck and ear discomfort. The sales clerk advised using it to lean against to break it in. This helped! 2) It loses it's shape after a year and a half or so and becomes less effective. I am replacing mine for that reason. Expensive, but my wife says it is money well spent!
