A "perfect" recording!, July 2, 2006
This review is from: Sonatas for Violin & Piano, Sonatensatz (Audio CD)
I can recommend the disc of the Brahms Sonatas with violinist Marina Manukian and pianist Bryan Pezzone most highly, to every lover of Brahms, and also especially to students looking for a truly inspiring recording. These recordings are among the most beautiful I have ever heard in every regard - stylistically, technically, and in all aspects of tone, phrasing, atmosphere, balance. One could dare say, a "perfect" recording...

Sublime elegance, May 7, 2006
This review is from: Sonatas for Violin & Piano, Sonatensatz (Audio CD)
A star shining the reflections of the poise and nastalgic romance that were heard in the early years of the 1900s ; this is what the listener first recognizes in the artistry of violinist Marina Manukian.
Technique and majesty unite in a depth of communication between violinist and pianist .
Each sonata is a gem of exquisite performance and the natural aura of the recording auditorium draws the listener into this dimension transcending time and space.
How rare to find a recording in today's world that takes one to the gentleness and repose of one's depths.
I find myself with happiness having found a CD to share with friends and students that expresses the ideas and ideals of the Brahms romantic era~ Beauty and Grace; Ingelligence and Strength ~ indeed, the dignity of music in purity and elegance.
With highest respect and enthusiasm I recommend this recording.
