Outstanding raw and rhythmic blues, July 9, 2010
I bought this CD for the track "Drive it Home" but all other tracks are equally great. This recording catches Snooks in his street-bluesman best, presenting one track after another as if you were sitting on cardboard next to him on a New Orleans street corner in the early 70s. One aspect of his blues style on this CD is how rhythmic it is... Snooks bangs out rhythms on his guitar body while playing and singing some of the best down-home blues you can find. If you're into rhythmic blues, check this one out.
