brenda russell and chaka khan are the two divas that are the substance of this compilation. Thank god they both sung two songs each. Brenda helped write three. The only other selection that stood out was Time Piece by Vince Mendoza which was a tight jazz number that would make a great soundtrack score.

I must admit, I am a rabid Yellowjackets fan, and bought this CD exclusively for Mile High and Glory. I love Bob Mintzer's take on Mile High, and it offers a fresh alternative to the original from Four Corners. Glory is masterful. I was plesantly surprised by the desire to listen to more than just the Yellowjackets cuts. I'm not sure if the other songs on this CD are only avaliable on this disk, but if so, fans of any of these artists should seriously consider this album.

This : A SONG A DAY cd is a must for a music-lover and especially a MUST for a GINO VANNELLI fan because this version of : JUST A MOTION AWAY is just absolute fabulous and a BIG treat for the ears of music - lovers !!! This version of Gino Vannelli's JUST A MOTION AWAY is from the German olympic team cd called Flame and now the whole world can buy A SONG A DAY with great music !!! A 5 stars CD with various music and good music,
especially Gino Vannelli's MUSIC !!!!!!
