The sound quality is impressive. The dolphins are very active. It doesn't take much imagination to "see" them swimming and spinning playfully in the sea.

This is a disc that's sure to put a smile on your face. Children would love listening to this disc at bedtime.

The only thing I don't like is the choice of background music. It reminds me of an old carnival carousel. Its murky resonance contrasts with the crystal clarity of the dolphins. It quickly got on my nerves. Luckily I can turn down the volume and allow the dolphin cries drown it out.

If background music annoys you, you might want to buy a dolphin disc that isn't enhanced with music.

One Amazon evening, I needed an inexpensive item to add to two books so I could qualify for SuperSaver Shipping. I decided to look for some relaxing music to go with the "highly sensitive people" workbook I'd chosen.

A friend had sent me an article about how deeply healing dolphin song can be to humans, so I did a search for dolphin music. I was delighted to find one among the CD titles with such a low price but wasn't expecting it to be anything great (yep, I fell for the old perception that something cheap or free is going to be mediocre).

So I was surprised to be thrilled with this CD the minute I donned the headphones. The dolphins are adorable! You can't help but start grinning as soon as they start their show. They make an amazing range of noises; some even sound like birds. You could almost swear a cheeky magpie joined them in chorus. One distinctive dolphin call on this CD even reminds me of an Australian bird, the currawong, whose wonderful song I miss.

The dolphins also slap the water in a playful manner, helping you visualize them as you listen.

The background music is pleasant and unobtrusive, with an almost stately feel to it in certain parts. The wash of waves in the background adds to the feeling that you're out on a sunny shore somewhere, being treated to dolphin playtime while you relax in a beach chair.

The water sounds are so loud you can't hear the Dolphin sounds unless you turn it way up and then it's too loud to relax by.

The order arrived quickly and was of a very good quality-great value for the money.

I have always loved dolphins but I wanted a chance to immerse myself in their world this CD provided me a chance to do that.
