I've been listening to the Hawkins all of my life. But, for no reason I've never really been an avid buyer of the their music. I heard the song "Just A Prayer Away" on the Bobby Jones Gospel Show and it just touched my heart. With this said, I actually bought the cd for one song just to find out I enjoyed the whole cd.

Being a Walter Hawkins fan from the beginning in the SF Bay Area, I was very excited to learn of his new solo project. From the time I purchased it months ago, it has been a mainstay in my car CD player and I have another for my home. It touches my soul daily. Every song relays the message, "it's alright, God's right there with you through it all." After listening to it on my drive in the morning, I feel so inspired, I can take on anything that comes my way. The range is from that soothing melodic that is the Walter Hawkins trademark, to the funky beat that will have you bouncing your head and praising at the same time.

It took me a while to track down this solo project by Walter Hawkins, but I'm glad I did. It shows a different, softer musical style as compared to many of his choir projects. The orchestrations are well produced and the songs, though not as popular as many of his Love Alive compilations, are sensitive and somehow feel more personal to him as an individual. I love the Choir projects, but it is also good to see another side.

I really like the product that was purchased, the anticapation for its arrival seem to be quite long, but overall
my listening pleasure was satisfied.
