Worth every second
O.k. so this film may not be absolutely historically correct, but who cares. We remember Chopin for his music, and this film is so rich in this. Of course, we can't help but be influenced in our perception of composers/writers by how they are portrayed in movies, but there is enough here that is accurate to satisy most people. But the music....the music.... Buy it, you...

Cheap bootleg copy!
This title has never been released on DVD by the company that owns the rights to it. A Chinese 'import' but with NTSC coding? Obviously a bootleg.

This is worth it for the music and Merle Oberon is beautiful, seductive and hard. Paul Muni is a character and at times I felt sorry for him. The music is hypnotic and haunting. This is how I choose to remember Chopin.
