No music book can include everything you want it to. But "A Song of Scotland" compiles 32 well known Scottish songs, with full piano arrangements, and lyrics for all but two of them. From the mellow Eriskay Love Lilt to The Tartan, there are goodies here for all.
The book does not provide any new arrangements. Most are from Dorse Bros., 1972, and others extend back to the early 1900s. But they are all solid piano arrangements. And except for Scotland the Brave and The Balintore Fisherman, they all provide at least a couple of verses, and often many verses. (Of course, for some of these songs there are a multitude of verses and variants.)
Overall, the book provides solid piano arrangements for a singalong--whether with piano, fiddle, accordian, or a combination.
