1.0 out of 5 stars I hated this book.
This book was even worse then the first one, INTO THE WIND. It isn't even really American! How can it be in the American Dreams series? DON'T READ THIS BOOK IT IS A WASTE OF TIME!

4.0 out of 5 stars A REALLY GREAT BOOK, October 26, 2002
By A Customer
Whenever I read reviews, I always want them to tell me the ending. I hate not knowing how books end. I also sometimes read last pages first. In this book, Rosie goes to the place that Raider and Octavia own, called the cove, to help take care of Raider. She is all messed up with her emotions, and doesn't know what to do, because she loves Raider but won't admit it to herself. So you find out what happens. I only gave this book four stars because the other books in the trilogy are much more exciting with more adventure. But other than that it is a great book. For more young adult historical romances check out all Ann Rinaldi's books, Elizabeth Massie's books and Cameron Dokeys' books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!!!!, May 20, 1999
By A Customer
I read the other two books but I thought this was the best. The dilemma that Rosie and Raider go through is a classic and I never get tired of it. To me they feel like real people. This is one of the most interesting books I've read and I have read a lot of books! I couldn't put any book in the trilogy down!

If you want to read a romance book and are dissapointed in the romance books in the "adult" section, then read this. I didn't get to read the first, which is advisable,I love the books and I read them over and over!!

I originally read this series years ago and was thrilled to see in back in print. The series has a great sense of adventure and a fast paced reading style. LOVE THEM!! Get all three in the series!
