The guidelines for contemplation, meditation, and journaling are perfect for those needing help getting started. She also shares her own journaling and prayers for examples. This book was the inspiration that I needed to examine myself and God's teachings truthfully and with the help of a wonderful spirtiual leader. It also provides ways to use the book in a group retreat.

A beautiful book that gives you permission to move at your own pace. Macrina's honesty in showing the reader her most intimate thoughts is both refreshing and humbling. It is a book to be savored slowly and often.
