Book Description

September 29, 2003
Song of Spirit summons the reader to the process of awakening. Ancient teachings are introduced within three cycles of experience. An encounter with a Nunnehi shape shifter on Blood Mountain by a group of hikers brings the teachings of Song of Spirit to a point of deep implantation within the mind. The concepts of the known, the unknown, and the unknowable are thereby properly housed within the awareness. Mystery unfolds as “Intent releases the dream within; the journey of mystery thus begins.” The translation of Nagal Logute Iyapa is “Spirit of the Empty One.” Emptiness leaves a distinct impression of grasping at morning mists upon the mountaintop. A Nagal simply exists…as a reflection of Spirit. “We are but drops in the dream we weep, the one true mystery is the song we seek.”

5.0 out of 5 stars An Awakening, November 4, 2004
This review is from: Song of Spirit: Volume One - Spirit of the Empty One, A Toltec Teaching Series (Paperback)
As a novice to Toltec teachings, I found this book very informative. I have hiked in the North Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains mentioned in the true life experiences in this book, and can't wait to return with a different view point. It is a well written, and thought provoking book.
If you have ever wondered about how the Native Americans viewed and learned from nature, this book is for you.
I will be waiting for the next volume of the series

If somone chooses to follow this path in life this would be a good starting point. Very well written. Completely covers the material from both a traditional point of things learned from the past. Also things that were experienced by the writer and some of his friends on trecks up mountains. So it contains up-to-date material. If studying the Toltec Tradition is you goal, this should possibly be you starting point..
