This review is from: A Song of Truth and Semblance (Penguin International Writers) (Paperback)
A novel with two plots: a contemporary Dutch writer is writing a novel about a love triangle in 19th-century Bulgaria. We accompany the creation's pangs, we see the story unfolding and become involved in it, and can also hear the writer's dialogs with another writer about the nature and significance of fiction - a fictionalized essay about fiction. Very insightful and intriguing.
