His pure voice filtered through my windows for years in the 70s and when I moved to Australia, my neighbourhood began to sing along. I bought it when it was an LP and carried it with me until I no longer had a record player. Years ago when I was updating my cds I decided to jump in and get his music one more time. It's uplifting and light, gentle and sweet. Perfect for a weekend morning while having breaky on the front veranda with the family. He fills a space that was replete in the 70s ~ it's a good place to be. x

I saw Jessie at Oakland Stadium with Joe Walsh and Crosby Stills Nash and Young in the 70's and am still a strong fan. Great music and lyrics! Glad to find this hard to find cd at Amazon.com!

This was the last of a series of record that showed Jesse Colin Young at the height of his creative powers. It opens with Songbird, a song that reminds me of Sunlight, one of his songs iwth the Youngbloods. Before You Came is a lament for the loss of innocence for American Indians that came with the white men. Josianne is a beautiful love song followed by my personal favorite from the record, Again. All through the record the musicianship is excellent. Perhaps some of the songs are not as good as on the previous two records.All and all an excellent listening experience. Highly recommend

Great easy listening Summer music,

My partner and I have been listening to a battered old tape of this album for over 20 years. This Summer we came to Marin County and bought the CD version. It still sounds as fresh and Summery now as it did in the 70's.
