great for first time fans,

i saw goran in concert twice and i have collected quite a few albums.this one is a great introduction since there are quite a few "hits" here but more than that, it is a good sampler of what i saw on stage and that was absolutely great. goran is a guide on a journey through alcohol induced fun and dance, melancholy songs about love and country, traditional ballads about life... the weakest parts are the english songs... buy the cd...catch his concert.

Kitsch Baroque,

... that's what the liner notes call it.. I would call it inspirational crazy go wild dance and cry slavic gypsy music. I already loved the music in the films (Underground, Time of the Gypsies, Arizona Dreams), but had forgotten how it can fill a room (nice to have the music without the story and visuals of the film). It draws you in like a snake charmer, and you want to be dancing drunk in the dark with strange objects from dreams floating by in a cacophony of sensation. I too liked the non-English songs the best, but the whole package is scrumptious. Listen to the music, and rent the movies too. Who knew the slavs were this much fun!!! Brilliant.

Another amazing work from Goran Bregovich!,

Goran Bregovich rules again with his album. After a row of beatufully written and performed soundtracks he hits again with this amazing album. Although his music is best to be listened on live acts, every of his fans MUST have this album at home. Thank you.
