This book has been a constant in my piano collection for the past 15 years. I enjoyed the song selection and the arrangements, so much that I thought it necessary to replace the book. I ordered this one, and imagine my surprise to find that the song selection is a little different. No problem! Wish I'd have known earlier that Every Rose has its Thorn was replaced with Everybody Want to Rule the World, and the Billy Ocean song was replaced with Paula Abdul? Really?!! But what really put me over the edge is that the arrangements were changed. Chords have been changed to simple one note melodies that I find are not even comparable to the old edition. I'm totally disappointed! Maybe if you are purchasing this book for the first time, you wouldn't care. All I'm saying is that I wish I had known, and saved my money. I like the older version better.

Hal Leonard Decade Series songbooks are great. There is a range of difficulty providing something for everyone and the songs are the best of the decade. I play a digital Kawai CP137 and this series is a part of the song stylist feature which provides lots of enjoyment.

Almost what I wanted. Many of the tunes may have been hit's in the 80's but were not written in the 80's. I wanted more hits written in the 80's. Otherwise it is a good book.
