From School Library Journal
Kindergarten-Grade 4-This high quality recording features 16 songs sung in Spanish, French, Italian, German and English. On the first side of the cassette, the songs are sung up to tempo by native speakers of the song's original language. On the second, the music is slightly slower in order to make it easier to follow along with the songs. The clear tone and lyrics help listeners in understanding the words as does the accompanying 24 page songbook that has the lyrics of all of the songs in the language in which they are sung as well as their English translation. The lack of phonetic spelling occasionally makes the songs difficult to follow, but with the help of teachers or parents, children will be able to catch on quickly. A good selection for libraries where songs in foreign languages are in demand.
