5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best classical recordings April 20, 2008
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
This is one of the best classical recordings I have ever heard. The music and recording quality are outstanding. Every song on this album is great. Don't hesitate to buy this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blown away by this album! May 19, 2014
Format:Audio CD
I have never heard a cello played like this before, and another reviewer nailed it with the Michael Hedges reference. It is deeply stirring, and hauntingly moving. Middle Eastern sounds add to the exotic and mysterious feel of many of the pieces, and there is an other-worldly feel to the whole experience. Where is Rufus now? I'd love to find another album like this. Unbelievable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Awesome Album October 13, 2011
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
This is a really great album. Solo cello with some great grooves - slap/tap ala Michael Hedges. Agree with prior poster that it is dark - which is why it is so great - extraordinarily emotion evoking - similar to the way Steve Tibbetts music can lead you on an emotional journey. Would love to track down Voodoo Chile. Hendrix would have loved this album.
