This is one of the best classical recordings I have ever heard. The music and recording quality are outstanding. Every song on this album is great. Don't hesitate to buy this.

This is a really great album. Solo cello with some great grooves - slap/tap ala Michael Hedges. Agree with prior poster that it is dark - which is why it is so great - extraordinarily emotion evoking - similar to the way Steve Tibbetts music can lead you on an emotional journey. Would love to track down Voodoo Chile. Hendrix would have loved this album.

seriously...it's that good. If you liked the 'Silk Road' series, you will LOVE this.

I first heard Rufus doing an interview on PBS radio. He played Voodoo Child on the Cello. It was incredible. I bouht the CD and was very dissapointed.Nothing on it remotely sounds like Hendrix. It is mostly "way out" thype stuff with weird singing. But that's just me.

I appreciate the difference in his work, but it's not an uplifting album, has some depressing sounds.
