"I'll Be Home for Christmas" is a very heartwarming and traditional Christmas album from Pat Boone. I like the selection of songs and Pat Boone's voice is so heavenly and beautifully sincere. I really like Pat Boone's rendition of the "First Noel" because you can truly feel his heart behind the melody and the delivery of the words. It is so joyous.

I love to hear Pat Boone sing; and he certainly doesn't disappoint his fans on this album of holiday music! He handles these numbers with panache and that's grand; he does a wonderful job on these songs and ballads; his fans will love this release. The quality of the sound is excellent, too.

With twenty songs on the CD, there's bound to be something for everyone who enjoys wonderful holiday music. There are religious songs and secular tunes, too. "White Christmas" features Pat at his very best; his interpretation of this classic impresses me and I think you'll like it very much. "Jingle Bells" has some percussion and female singers to accompany Pat as he sings this; and "O Come All Ye Faithful" is brilliantly done, again with backup singers--not that Pat Boone ever needed backup; but they do sound very good anyway.

"God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" is another classic that gets a fine treatment from Pat; and listen for more gems including "O Little Town of Bethlehem" with that brass in the musical arrangement; "Silver Bells" which is so easy on the ear; the playful "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town;" "Silent Night, Holy Night" with its magnificent, religious message; "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing;" "The First Noel" that has a particularly fine arrangement; "I'll Be Home for Christmas" which has always been one of my very favorite holiday tunes; "Joy to the World" which stuns me with its beauty; "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" with Pat singing this (as he always did on any number) without ever letting go of a single superfluous note; "O Holy Night" that Pat delivers straight from the heart; "Do You Hear What I Hear?" that charms me when Pat sings it; "The Christmas Waltz" which adds a bit of pop to the album; a rendition of "Blue Christmas" that just couldn't be better; "Here Comes Santa Claus;" the incredible and poignant "Amazing Grace" and "Holy, Holy, Holy" which ends the album so well I reach for the reply button on my CD player to hear the entire album all over again!

Pat Boone fans will cherish this album for ages to come; he was an exceptionally talented performer and every last song on this album proves it! Of course, anyone interested in high quality control holiday music, both traditional and secular, would do well to add this to their music collection.

Pat Boone's voice is very soothing and he did a very fabulous job on singing the christmas carols. I have the cassette tape of this x'mas songs a long, long time ago (in the late 70's and early 80's) but it's already worn-out. I kept on looking to different stores like Best Buy and Circuit City to purchase this aforesaid album in CD form but to no avail. Good thing, amazon.com came to the rescue! I can now enjoy the heartwarming x'mas songs sung by Pat Boone that I usually love to hear when I was a child. If you love Pat Boone's Songs for Christmas, I highly recommend Season's Greetings from Perry Como CD which is an equally good combination for your nostalgic Christmas CD collection.
