Easy mainstream listening...,

This review is from: Songs from Dawson's Creek, Vol. 2 (TV Series) [ECD] (Audio CD)
Although, the WB television show is a favourite of mine, and I also own the first 'Dawson's Creek' soundtrack, this follow up OST surprised me with it's mainstream appeal, almost like Billboard released a compilation with all the chart topping artists thrown on it. But don't get me wrong, it's not a flaw. The stand out artists are Wheatus, whose "Teenage Dirtbag" is infectious and guaranteed to put a smile on your face with it's comical lyrics, Mary Beth's excellent version of "Daydream Believer", which was a feature song in season two of 'DC' and Evan and Jaron display their newly found success with "Crazy..." All in all, it's a must for all 'Dawson's Creek' fans!

It has its moments of goodness...,

I like this cd, but I think that it could have been a little better. Where is the song "Don't Tell Me" by Madonna? Where's the song "That I Would Be Good" by Alanis Morissette? Both of those frequently played tunes (on the show) should have been considered for this soundtrack. The best songs on the cd are Jessica Simpson's hit and the remake of "Daydream Believer" (which I like better than the original version). True fans of the show must have this cd for their Dawson's Creek collection. B+

It's really great,

I am a Dawson's creek fan from Israel. I think this CD (which I had to buy in Germany) is pretty good. It has good songs like "superman" (06), "just another" (12) and of caurse "daydream believer" (14). As a DC fan I was disappointed when they didn't put songs like "that I would be good" by alanis and "papercup" by heather nova, but they picked good unknown songs that can make your day very happy - and it's great to be heard during a long trip. I recomend you buy it even if you don't watch the show - because it has nice tunes from all varietys of music.

This is a great CD!. It really fits to every mood. It just gives off vibes of DC, so its like watching the show and listening to music(my favorite thing to do) at the same time! Personal faves are 'teenage dirtbag' and 'crazy for this girl'.

the soundtrack is OK...i would normally give it a 2-3 stars..but since PETE YORN is on it....i have to bump it up to 4 stars...his song "Just Another" is quite simply my favorite song of the year. The Jayhawks are pretty cool too. end.

Song at the end of Series Finale,

This review is from: Songs from Dawson's Creek, Vol. 2 (TV Series) [ECD] (Audio CD)
The song at the end of the show was called "Say Goodnight" by Beth Nielson Chapman. I bought it on iTunes. Isn't it so perfect? It really fits the end of the series with the montage.
I was so sad to see Dawson's Creek come to an end. Let's just add another CSI show to take it's place...just kidding. There aren't enough shows like this on tv anymore. Joan of Arcadia is practically the only decent family show on tv and even it's dangerously close to cancellation. Thanks Dawson's Creek for the memories!! =)

I just got this cd in the mail today and I love it. I loved the first Dawsons Creek Soundtrach but I think this one is even better. My favorite song is "Crazy for this Girl" by evan and jaron. They are just one of the awsome groups on this CD. If you liked the first one, do yourself a favor and get this one too. You won't regret it

Dawson's Creek Soundtrack Vol. 2,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Songs from Dawson's Creek, Vol. 2 (TV Series) [ECD] (Audio CD)
I think this is a really good cd, even for people who don't watch dawson's creek. It has a wide varity of songs. My favorite ones are Crazy for this Girl, Respect, Giving up on you, Superman, If I am, and Teenage Dirtbag. I think I think God can explain is an ok song. I can't stand Jessica Simpson's I think I'm in love with you. It has such a pop beat. But I was disaponited because they didn't include That I would be good by Alanis. Some songs on this cd are hits on the radio and some are unknown, so it has a good mix of songs. The Dawson's creek soundtrack Vol. 2 has something for everyone. This cd is great in the car, or great lisitening to while doing homework or cleaning. All in all, this is a great cd for everyone to own, and a must for all Dawson's Creek fans. I can't wait until they come out with another Dawson's Creek Cd!

Good for DC fans,

In my life, I have maybe watched three episodes of Dawson's Creek. Despite that, I absolutely love both volumes 1 and 2 of the soundtrack from the TV series. Out of the two, I have to say this one is my favourite. List of Songs according to preference: 1) "If I am" - Nine Days 2) "Crazy for this girl" - Evan and Jaron 3) "Never saw Blue like that" - Shawn Colvin 4) "Superman" - Five for Fighting 5) "I'm gonna make you love me" - The Jayhawks 6) "I think God can explain" - Splender 7) "Just Another" - Pete Yorn 8) "Show me heaven" - Jessica Andrews 9) "Daydream Believer" - MaryBeth Maziarz 10) "Givin up on you" - Lara Fabian 11) "Respect" - Train 12) "Broken Boy" - Michal 13) "I think I'm in love with You" - Jessica Simpson What's Good? My favourite song just has to be 'If I am' by Nine Days. It's catchy, easy to listen to, with a good tune and lyrics that actually mean something. I have played it continuously for over a month and haven't got tired of it. Another fantastic song is "Crazy for this girl", by Evan and Jaron. In my opinion, those are the two standout tracks on this album. Other great songs are "Never Saw Blue Like that" by Shawn Colvin, which is slow, beautiful and meaningful, and "Superman" by Five for Fighting. I like all the songs on the CD but some are stronger than the rest. The CD successfully combines many different sounds. "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" by the Jayhawks is a fast and irresistible catchy song while "Just Another" by Pete Yorn is a slow, dreamy song with a haunting tune. What's Bad? I admit I'm not so keen on the first track, "I think I'm in love with you" by Jessica Simpson. It's catchy, but I prefer the tracks without so much of a pop-music sound and I much preferred "Did you ever love somebody?" by the same artist, which features on DC vol 1. "Broken Boy", by Michal and "Givin up on you" by Lara Fabian are fairly mediocre songs and are neither awful nor brilliant. About the British version: My CD also contains six bonus tracks: "Heaven by your side" by A1, "Sweet Suburban Sky" by Paddy Casey, "Prayer" by Dara, "Watching You Sleep" by Straw, "From now on" by Roachford and "Dancing in the Moonlight" by Toploader. Of these I love the songs by Roachford, Toploader and A1, like the Dara song, tolerate the Straw song and absolutely can't stand the one by Paddy Casey. It is just so incredibly bland and dull. The tune doesn't go anywhere, the vocals are unimpressive and I feel the CD is weaker for it. Another disappointment is the absence of "Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus, as I would have preferred my CD to contain this rather than the six bonus tracks. Overall: A must have for any Dawson's Creek fan. Contains a wide range of different music and should suit most tastes. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes a mix of different rock and pop music.
