Not the real deal - may be better,
By Eddy Y (B-more, MD) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Songs Made Famous By the Movie-O Brother Where (Audio CD)
This is not the original soundtrack. It's "Songs Made More Famous By The Movie O Brother Where Art Thou." There is no Alsion Kraus, Gilian Welch, Emmylou, Cox Family, Ralph Stanley, Soggy Bottoms or Harry McLintock. What you do get is Sandy Posey, Stones River, Nashville Dulcimers and Carl Story. And what do they give you? They give solid blue grass gospel songs w/ honest guitar and banjo pickin', sweet harmonious vocals, a-hummin' fiddles and harmonica playin'. Tell you the truth, it's probably better than the soundtrack (which I never have heard). If "I'm Just Here to Get My Baby Out of Jail" doesn't bring a sappy tear to your eye, I'll pay for your CD. (Just kiddin')

NOT THE MOVIE SOUNDTRACK,

This review is from: Songs Made Famous By the Movie-O Brother Where (Audio CD)
I don't know anything about this record, so I gave it high marks. But this is NOT the soundtrack from the film. Caveat emptor.
