Editorial Reviews

Songs From The Glasshouse was produced by Colton Holliday of The Panic Division with additional production by Grammy--winning producer Mack Damon. The album was mastered by Gavin Lurssen (Johnny Cash, Cat Power, Tom Waits). Holliday speaks highly of the new record: "Glasshouse describes a place or situation under intense scrutiny. We wanted to put our music under a microscope this time and really go all out. We wanted to make music that we as individuals would actually be impressed by." The Panic Division dedicated the last year and a half to a large amount of successful national tours and captured and extensive fan base while doing so. This constant touring has given them the chance to build a powerful reputation as an "impeccable" and "strongly recommended" live band. They are currently touring the U.S. in support of Songs From The Glasshouse and will soon arrive in a city near you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant And Beautiful! September 18, 2007
By Jack
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
The Panic Division has, once again, delivered another brilliant and darn catchy album. Colton Holliday's vocals are extraordinary for this particular style of electronic influenced rock music. SONGS FROM THE GLASSHOUSE features a much more prominent 80's new wave sound (they even offer a fantastic cover of the Mr. Mister hit "Broken Wings") but with a powerful mix of modern rock fused with it. This album does feature a bit more of the electronics and keyboards than their debut album, VERSUS. But the rock is still definitely there (Silverchair should take note of these guys to see how keyboards and music can be mixed together properly). The only track on this album that I thought was rather unneeded was the reprise of "Stay." Everything else however is golden and people really do not give this band enough credit. It's a shame to because they make some of the most melodic, catchy, ambient/atmospheric and downright enjoyable rock music out there. If you want to hear a great band with soothing melodic vocals and memorable rock music, definitely give The Panic Division a try.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fresh, talented and growing September 1, 2007
Format:Audio CD
The Panic Division stunned me with their first release and I instantly became a fan. I have heard about half of the songs from this album online and I have the cd on order but it is taking forever to get here and it's incredibly frustrating but I'm very excited to get it. The songs sound really good and it looks like they are leaning to more of the eighties sound that they hinted at in thier debut album. No one else is playing this kind of music. As gay as eighties music was...some of it was good and these guys are able to incorporate those elements and mix it with modern rock. It should be good but I just hope HMV will get their act together

5.0 out of 5 stars Waiting for this cd October 10, 2007

great new album. Probably a bit slower and more melodic than their first. This album will make you both smile and cry. I love this CD
